There was something about PSU's Institutional COVID Policy in 2020 that put PSU's Athletic teams at a significant disadvantage....

It wasn't just the Football team (PSU was #7 Preseason in 2020 after finishing #9 in 2019) - PSU Lacrosse made it to the 2019 Lacrosse Final 4 and went into the 2020 Season Ranked #1.... they posted a losing record in a severely administration shortened schedule. PSU's Men's Lacrosse Team is back this year playing in NCAA Quarterfinals this year.

Again, not sure what COVID Policies PSU's overly-political administration put into place, but it put PSU's athletes at a massive competitive disadvantage.

Maybe coaches were not prepared?

Agree. The PSU athletic department was pitiful during the 2 yr CoVid crap. Just look at the Learfield standings. But they are back where they belong this year… no coincidence. What happened? For those of us who support and defend the program no explanation has ever been given. Not unusual with PSU because, in the end, they do not care about the fans. They just want us to keep giving. They handled it differently than others. How so? It wasn’t just football performance. It’s also no coincidence that the university operated at a significant deficit during pretty much the same time.
