for some reason I am absolutely convinced this is going to be the game where we turn the corner under the current regime. Anyone else getting the same feeling?

All the credit to our senior players that stuck with us through some terrible times but I believe the extra practice time will mean a lot to the youngsters on the roster. Maybe we get a glimpse of that during the bowl game.

We have recruiting going great and Georgia is an absolute dumpster fire right now, I can see this trouncing they're going to put on Georgia giving us a gat damn huge amount of momentum going into the offseason.

I didn't see a trouncing by any stretch - Georgia is a good team that was down by SEC standards - we will have a new OC next year so expect the offensive schemes to change - I don't put much into this game either way. I missed the game but how did Pitt do yesterday? Thought you might know.

Georgia has only 3 coaches and grad assistants , no head coach, no OC , no DC for this game so it may say a lot about the ability of PSU coaching staff to give PSU an advantage in this game.

suppose UGA goes for it on every 4th down no matter where to test out that old theory?? Those 3 coaches with nothing to lose, could really change things.

I would love to see us win the game. It would certainly be a turn the corner game. Georgia is good! Their only losses were to Alabama, Tennessee, and Florida. They beat Auburn, Missouri, South Carolina, Georgia Tech, and 5 other teams. On paper, they should trounce us. The experts see it that way.

I am anxious to see how we play. If we get blown out, that is another strike against JF. This game should tell us a lot about our talent level and coaching staff.

Yes, but they also have a very good, physical defense. Defense is not nearly as "intricate" as offensive gameplanning. UGa will be one of the best, if not the best, defenses we play this year and it doesn't take tons of coaching to play great defense.

A 17 point blowout where the offense puts up 30+ points with a few creative plays would be a great way to start off the year.

It's Hackenberg's last chance to impress the NFL scouts, not included not the combines of course. I think things will set up,well for him and look for our offense to finally play a complete game. PSU 27 GA 17

I thought that Illinois was the "turn the corner" game. They turned a corner and hit a wall.

If PSU wins, great! If they lose, so be it... Just don't be on here crowing about the sky is falling..

We are basically playing a team/COACHES with NOTHING to lose and the coaches will be calling anything and everything.. Remember the Maryland "zero" blitz defense for 80% of the game. They had nothing to lose

I think we will win but I am just going to sit back, relax, and suck up as much beer and pizza as my body will tolerate.

After our performance against Army, I sadly have no faith. It wouldn't shock me if we won and it wouldn't shock me if Georgia took us to the woodshed.

This game is a reward for the kids, and I'm happy for them that they got a bowl. It will tell us nothing about what to expect next season- for either team.
