They dropped behind early by 2 TDs but found and exploited our weaknesses, to their credit, and came storming back to take the lead midway through the 3rd qtr. I was smelling the dreaded "U" word.
But our O bailed us out ..........again.
In any case, it was (sorta) fun watching the Illinois kids play so well. Really liked the students wearing Lovie beards in support of their coach. He looks like a cool guy, dont you think? Despite the half empty stadium, those who were there had fun...for most of the game anyhow. Quite a few PSU fans were in the stands.
Ive been to their campus/ stadium several times. And U of IL is a terrific school. I wish them luck going forward.
