How did Udit get 2 for that reversal in Freestyle? Did they call that a TD? Clearly NOT a TD, from the position they began in (Gilman TD).

so freestyle is a little different with reversals. if he had stayed down on the mat and gilman bailed, it would have been 1. but since both came all the way back to their feet again, it's considered a takedown. in our folkstyle minds, gilman never loses control, but that's not how it works in freestyle.

Man, at only 18yo, Udit Udit is a name to remember, tricky in par terre defense, and obviously a great gas tank. That said, Thomas faded fast in this one. It sure seems like he cuts a LOT of weight, so maybe this cut didn't go as well as we should expect to see in Romania in September.

It's pretty damn hard to hold a peak or anything near top-end fitness for more than a couple of weeks. I'm guessing Gilman peaked for WTTs and will do so again for Worlds.
