Three (3)-Time Champions

apparently you missed the slush fund additions at 133/141 and the TFr AA that they added at Hvy. Not to mention Youngs 157 vision quest and the "Bulls"eye on Cenzos back. Shoot they even brought in this Russian named Warnerov at 197 to counter BoNi

There is a really big gap between what Brands knows and what the HR brethren believe, wish, hope, pray, rationalize to be true.

we will get the big picture when the full schedule is released. if T N T agree to head east for a match with us, then we will know that T N T think they will have a good showing (win) if not ...then their are just admitting that they cant hang with PSU

A reciprocal trip to State College by Iowa will not happen until Tom believes his squad is likely to win.

Just saying. I could be wrong, but my opinion is Brands sees no benefit traveling electively to State College just to take a beating.

Terry might flee the gym even earlier than he did this past season if they come this year.

That would be my take on it.

The craziest thing of all of this is we may be eight months away from David Taylor not being in the top five most accomplished wrestlers in Penn State history.

Arguably. I think Nolf and Bo, should they win and wind up 2,1,1,1, would be ahead of him, but I'm not fully convinced about anything lower than third for Taylor at that point. Ed was 3,1,1,1, which is not a lot different than 2,1,2,1 and had less career points at NCAA's than Taylor so I make them a tie (or maybe, based on career NCAA points and two Hodge trophies, make Taylor a smidge ahead of Ruth). Zain was 5,1,1,1, so I put him slightly below those 2. But, yeah, I don't think you can limit the top wrestlers to 5 without getting a little arbitrary if all goes well this year (and next).

So many factors, including a few intangibles. I'll go 1a, 1b, 1c, 1d, and 1e. The Record Book is being rewritten, and the facts are the facts, but these guys are separated by the slightest of margins.

It's amazing that it wasn't that long ago that we couldn't even produce 3x All-Americans consistently ...
