I have two tickets for the game Saturday but will need to purchase one more. What is my best option....doing something online like Stub Hub or Seat Geek now or wait until Friday night for the best price or just show up gameday and purchase one in front of the stadium? Thanks!

If you are looking for the cheapest price, and are patient, wait till less than an hour before kickoff and buy outside the stadium.
For a game like the one against the Spuds with attendance likely to be up 4-10K less than capacity, I recommend waiting until kickoff and then purchasing a ticket outside the stadium for the absolute cheapest price. Someone will likely just give you a ticket at that point, and there will be many available.....
Can also just buy on stubhub from the parking lot since psu finally got handheld scanners for digital tickets.
Is $10 or $15 one way or another a big issue for you? If not, go online today or tomorrow at the Penn State ticket website or stubhub and buy one for $30-$35.
Be aware that "print at home" pdf tickets will NOT be accepted at Beaver Stadium this year. You will need a regular hard ticket (I am sure there will be quite a few available outside the stadium) or a mobile ticket on your smartphone.
There are several steps you need to go through to get a resell ticket downloaded onto your smartphone and I would recommend that you don't wait until you are outside of Beaver Stadium on game day to try and complete that process given the uncertainty of cell phone coverage with 100,000 other people close by.
