Agree...he looked exhausted in the post match interview.Tiger has had 4 back surgeries (including 2017) plus his other ailments. He looked totally spent on the 18th tee yesterday. What he has accomplished is unprecedented in golf. The guy is an amazing player. Enjoy him while you still can.
Hoping he is done after the Cup this weekend. take some time off...get back in the gym and keep that back healthy. 2019 PGA season may very well be the best ever...can't even imagine the TV ratings for The Master's in April if he is healthy.Agree...he looked exhausted in the post match interview.
His exhaustion was probably more so due to the mental and emtional strain expended in order to finally win. This was unlike any tournament he has won in the past. He’s also played a lot of golf in the last month or so.Agree...he looked exhausted in the post match interview.
I believe I heard that they were leaving on a private jet, the entire team, after the tournament. I heard someone asking if Tiger would make the flight because so many people wanted to interview him. Regardless, I think they will be amped up for the event. His exhaustion was probably more so due to the mental and emtional strain expended in order to finally win. The guy who really needs rest is Mickelson. They both do. I wonder what day they leave for France. Five hours ahead in Paris, isn’t it? That won’t help.

Tiger was healthy for this year's Masters and was coming off a 2nd place at Valspar. Those ratings when he played Friday afternoon were the highest in 5 years. Now if he's contention on the weekend next year, they will be through the roof.
What he has done is "UNPRECEDENTED" in sports, period.
He just made a difficult up and down in 2 to preserve his lead going into 18. He just crushed his drive down the middle of the 18th fairway. He’s beating the best in the world today in the Fed Ex Championship Tournament in Atlanta. It’s amazing that he’s made it all the way back now and is competing with the kids.
Unprecedented in what way? I love Tiger and don’t want to take anything away from what he accomplished yesterday and this season. But Ben Hogan almost died in a collision with a bus. Doctors thought he might not walk again. He spent two months in a hospital. Then he won something like four more majors.
Where’s all the crow eaters who wanted Tiger to fail?
Was not even born when Hogan did what he did...good for him. But there are far more better players around now then when Hogan played....and had Hogan got injured now I would bet with todays medical findings doctors would not be saying he wont walk again. Tiger could not tie a shoe less than a year ago....in less than a year he beats the top players in the world....however, other than perhaps Hogan, nothing even comes close.
Sure. I’m not denying what Tiger did. Just saying what Hogan overcame at a time when medicine was far inferior to today’s standards is just as incredible. It doesn’t matter what today’s doctors could have done for Hogan. His accident was 70 years ago, not yesterday.
Wasnt alive 70 yrs ago...what Hogan did was amazing I am sure. The hardest game in the world is golf...but I have had back surgery. To hit a golf ball this well after fusion surgery...unreal
I’m not arguing any of your points except calling what Tiger did “unprecedented”. Unless your point is “unprecedented” because of his specific ailment. Then okay. But I think Hogan’s comeback was every bit as amazing. Both stories are fantastic.
