I'll be there for the Iowa game, this lot is a new one for us. Any tips on getting in/out efficiently? We'll be arriving first thing in the morning slightly after the lots open.

It depends upon which direction you're going.

One option is to go down the hill turn left and pick up Puddintown Road. That gets you to Houserville and onto Route 26 N fairly quickly.

If you're going Route 322 East or West, your best option is to pick up East Park Avenue by the medical center. If you're north or southbound on I-99, take the East Park Avenue option as well..

Given that you will be arriving early, I'd go in on East Park Avenue from the north by the medical center.

I'll be commuting from the southwest, near Pine Grove Mills area. I'll likely loop around town and campus to get to 322 if that's the best way in. The directions on the parking pass say to exit on College Ave from 322, turn right on Puddintown Rd, then left on Orchard Rd. I could just take College Ave through town to Puddintown but I'm worried we'll hit traffic for the southern lots going that way.

Any tips for exiting? I know some lots can be a mess to get out of.

I mainly want to avoid the disaster of my last whiteout in 2018. I was in lot 12 and it took hours to get from the southwest edge of town to the lot in the morning via Atherton and Park.

Given the time you plan to arrive, you shouldn't have much of an issue going in on Puddintown Road.

As far as departing, I'd avoid the downtown area. I'd take East Park Avenue to just beyond the Mount Nittany Medical Center. Turn right onto 322 East. Exit onto Warner Boulevard (Route 45 or toward Boalsburg). That will take you to Pine Grove Mills.

The trek is about 10.5 miles.

I’ve been in 33 and 34, and I would recommend Puddintown both ways, but it may not be a big difference pre-game if arriving extra early. It’s easy enough to loop around to 45 from the Houserville/Lemont area post-game.

Had a buddy recently ask me the other day if I wanted to go to the Iowa game. I think I would fork out for a ticket, but finding anywhere to stay within a reasonable distance seems impossible at this point!
