Lewan was the one who "allegedly" called up the girl that Gibbons "allegedly" raped and told her that she should drop the entire matter if she didn't want to get raped again. Another player reported the Lewan phone call. Naturally, the Michigan athletic department and the police cleared Lewan of wrong doing. He was an All American, after all.

Wasn’t it the day after the bowl game? Like, literally, the semester had ended, his eligibility had just been exhausted 24 hours prior after 3 years of investigation....but they could officially kick him out of school at that exact time.
What a coincidence! Incredible this didn’t make the national news.
I performed an independent investigation, of course I didn't have subpoena power or access to any of the key individuals. I found that the most powerful leaders at the University repeatedly concealed critical facts relating to the incident. Granted... that's just my opinion.
