1 - If you are a PSU "Alum" ("Alum" is anyone who has attended PSU full time for 1 or more semester):
If you have received your BOT Nomination Ballot:
Fill out your ballot (be sure to include "Lawrence M Schultz, Class of 1980")
If you have NOT received your Nomination Ballot:
Go here: http://www.psu.edu/trustees/ and click on "Request Your Ballot"
You will be asked for your Name/Year(s) of Attendance/Major/Mailing Address/and e-mail address
When you receive your ballot, fill it out (be sure to include "Lawrence M Schultz, Class of 1980")
2 - If you are NOT a PSU "Alum" (and especially if you ARE)....and you care about the future of Penn State
You may still participate in what is likely the most IMPORTANT part of the process.
The "primary", sponsored by PS4RS, will most likely go a long way in determining who eventually wins the BOT seats that are up for election. You DO NOT have to be a PSU Alum to participate.....you need only be concerned about the future of the University.
In order to participate:
Go here, http://ps4rs.org/join/
It takes about 30 seconds to sign up. As the registration page states:
"Penn Staters for Responsible Stewardship (PS4RS) membership is free and open to all alumni, students, community members, university members, parents of students and fans of the University who would like to work together to achieve positive change at The Pennsylvania State University as a result of events."
You do not need to agree with every position taken by the majority of PS4RS members in order to join - all viewpoints and concerns are welcome......the only requirement is that you want to make Penn State a better place.
After joining PS4RS (do it NOW), you will be eligible to vote in the PS4RS primary - February 29th.....and will have access to the Candidates "Town Hall" (a "debate" of sorts) on February 18th.
In recent years, the folks who win the PS4RS primary have been overwhelmingly elected to the BOT seats.
