Long time supporter of his and regularly defended him but things have deteriorated to the point over the last half dozen years or so that they need a new direction.

The way he's mismanaged the QB is beyond ridiculous. You either started Kenny week 1 or POTENTIALLY with the long week before today's game. You don't bring him in at half time then after the game refuse to commit to a QB. Going against Buffalo's D is not the best scenario for a rookie's first start. Watch Mitch start lol

How many wins have you coached ANY football team to?

Are you defending the decision or just asking meaningless questions?
Trying to understand your credentials to evaluate the weight of your opinion. You know, to see if you have similar qualifications as your intended target.

Do you have to be a former president to criticize ones? This is basic as you likely know. Let's see what Tomlin does this week. He's either going to go back to Mitch (which is wrong on so many levels) or we'll see how Pickett looks in his first start against arguably the best D in the league

NFL is a league of mediocrity. They love teams at .500. Very few franchises maintain excellence for a long time. Steelers are no different. Got to have a QB. Could have told you Trubisky was not the answer.

Take a close look at the Steelers remaining schedule. They will be the underdog in every game. The only feasible win is New Orleans. Looks to me that they will finish the season 1 - 16 or 2 - 15.

I wonder if Clipboard Kenny will set the record for interceptions thrown by a rookie?

Far from a Steelers' fan, but I don't get the constant complaining about Tomlin. Reminds me of the "We Deserve Better" people complaining about Franklin.

What about Atlanta and Carolina? PLus when Watt gets back they will win a couple over better teams. 6-11 is probably their record unless some injuries by other teams key players or KP plays out of his mind.

Bradshaw has that INT record at like 32 doesnt he?

He's not as bad as those people say but he's not as good as his fans say either. I would still put him in the top 1/3 of the league but not top 5. They should have gone with OL help last year and let Mitch or Mason play QB this year and suck then get a high pick in a much better QB draft next year.

According to an internet search the record holder for interceptions by an NFL rookie is 28 held by none other than Peyton Manning. He set the record in 1998.

That's kind of how I see it too.

As an Eagles fan i think Tomlin is a good coach better than most in the NFL.

Be careful what you wish for you don't want to be a Detroit, Cleveland, or Chicago revolving door of coaches. Pittsburg's problem is the OC. IMO.

Tomlin hired the OC and the OC before him and the OC before him. They ran Bruce Arians out of town because he was too strong willed for Tomlin. At some point the poor hirings of OC and OL coaches lies at the feet of Tomlin.

He is also responsible for drafting RB's QB's, TE's and WR's before OL. The Steelers have not drafted an OL in the top two rounds since 2011. Things have to change.

The Steelers are good at hiring head coaches. They need to start thinking about the next hire. This team is bordering on bottom five in the league.

Tomlin runs the Steelers' draft? Huh?

In the Tomlin era, they've always put a priority on drafting toys for their Quarterback, and that didn't change this year. They've neglected the offensive line, seem averse to drafting Cornerbacks high, and have missed on a few Linebackers. I'd put their chances of winning another Super Bowl under Tomlin at less than 5%. I'd rate him as above average at best. With all that said, 1-16 or 2-15 is crazy talk. They're not THAT bad. They've been in all 3 of the games they lost.

All of the Steeler SBs were due to bad seasons.

How did they get Bradshaw?
Mean Joe?
Ben?

5 - 12 is a good thing, enjoy it.

Thought he was great for the first five-ten years but he has fallen rapidly. Ben was the actual head coach/OC for the last five years. Tomlin seriously mishandled Antonio Brown and Levion Bell. And a few other prima donas. No discipline, no focus.

But the real problem goes to the top. The current Rooneys loved Ben and let him run the team and undercut Tomlin. Ben’s public whining and crying caused problems. The Rooneys should have called him into the office and tell him to shut the hell up.......if you have concerns to talk to the head coach in private.......and if you can’t do that you will be traded.

It’s time for Tomlin to take full control of the players and demand discipline. Bench any miscreants and negative impacts.

But don’t hold your breath on that

Tomlin had his own discipline issues. Look into his antics attending local high school games.

Tomlin had championship talent quite a few years and has only done it with a handoff from Cowher's team. The steelers are in decline under Tomlin but they stick with coaches.
Dude you are boarding on racism! He has not been given a long enough time to prove himself!! Most white coaches get 10yrs before they are fired for non-performance. As a diversity hire, he must be given 20 years to prove what he can do. Give the man a break!
