Trace McSorley

There seem to be more than a few head scratching or agonizing plays by McSorely every game, but with plays like his third rushing TD, fighting through three Michigan defenders, it’s hard not to want him in there as a starter.

I've been a big critic this year. And still think he was bad in the first half. But he was great in the 2nd half.

Big props to TM

How did you like that drive to end the first half? The kid was money.

For one, it's McSorLEy. He's been your damn QB for 20 1/2 games now, you should be able to spell his name.

The kid is excitable, which is different than just about every PSU QB that we've ever seen. He's gonna be hyped early on and may overthrow a few passes. The INT that everyone wants to hang him for was a product of miscommunication between he and Gesicki. Mike was open when Trace threw it and if they had been on the same page, they had the out & up that Gesicki ended up running. But everyone wanted to jump down his damn throat. All the kid does is win. Threw some great balls against that man-to-man in the 2nd half because the O-line gave him plenty of time. And he's getting better and better about being able to read the option play better and we saw where that got him in the ground game. He and Moorhead have been very good about making adjustments together. Hopefully next week, he can have his head level at the start of the game so it doesn't take too much time to get into a road game.

And I think we would have been much better two years ago if he had been our QB instead of Hack. That's just my opinion. The kid does what he has to to win and not protect his future draft status.

I don't disagree with ya on the Hack situation. Hack's skill set wasn't compatible with what Franklin wanted from his QB and unfortunately early on, Franklin didn't adapt to what Hack could do.
