So the trivia question Saturday night was about the first BJC dual— or at least that’s what I thought it said.

But the answer was something like 2013. didn’t Penn State face Iowa in Dec 1996 at the BJC? The infamous Kerry McCoy Forfeit win?

did I read the question wrong?

All of these were held in the BJC.

So what about that trivia question then? It seemed incorrect.

Hate to admit, I was socializing during this time, and missed the exact wording of the question. NoVa and/or HOCKEYGOD may have an answer for you.

Was it "the first BJC dual ever?", or "the first BJC dual under Cael's watch?"

Hmm, I went looking through the PSWC site and couldn't find info on the National Duals that were at BJC at least once. But I'm pretty sure that they were not as heavily attended.

Maybe there was a Cael clause, and I wasn’t paying attention, not sure.

PS, socializing? Didn’t peg you as a Bernie guy. :p

I wanna know who those four people are that kept us from winning this year!!! We deserve to know who held us down.

They were the four students who went back to their dorm because the poor dears did not want to wait another five minutes before they opened Gate D. I kid you not. They decided to leave because they didn't want to wait a few minutes.

Maybe it was phrased consecutive years?

Nope, besides between the Iowa dual when McCoy was a senior we had several other duals in BJC while Sunderland was coach. I specifically remember duals against Purdue when Chris Fleeger was wrestling 125 for them and a dual against Minnesota.

Must have been phrased as under Cael then.

For just a second, imagine that match occurred in Carver and Ironside was a PSU animal and Webber was the huge underbird Hawk. How many times do you think a Carver ref could have and/or would have slapped the mat.

In any case, best part of that match was watching the ref FLY over Ironside and Weber to look for the pin. Ironside sure looked stuck but the ref did have a better view than me.:p
