In previous years I have always thrown out the previous issue of Phi; Steele's preview before I bought home the new one. This year I had both so I decided to compare his ranking of Pennstate's individual units 2017 vs 2018.

2017 2018
QB 11 1
RB 3 24
Rec. 9 33
OL 21 15
DL 16 8
LB 20 34
Db 26 20
Sp T 8 28
Couple of surprises. He ranks our D line higher then the OL and this year's D line better then last year. The DBs are rated higher this year than last which i suspect many on this board would agree with. What many on this board would not agree with is the relatively low placing of the receivers this year. Don't know how much one can take from these ranking but Steele is good. Looking over his 2017 placings I think they look surprisingly comparable as to where I would have ranked them at the end of the season. QB was at least top 10, RB at about 3 and receivers an easy 9th.
Oh well what is it, 6 more weeks of this nonsense ?
