David Taylor was the guest on today's show & they were running down their predictions for the PSU/tOSU dual. When Tommy Rowlands said he doesn't think Penn State is going to score any bonus points, it sounded like the always polite and respectful David Taylor actually did a spit take.

Lots of Penn State talk on today's show, so it's worth a listen. Rowlands is a horrible homer, but he freely admits that, so it's hard to hold it against him.

Rowlands did pick Retherford to win the Hodge this year. Askren picked Dieringer. They both had a lot of complimentary things to say about Zain.

Askren also said it had "just come out" that McCutcheon will not be wrestling Friday night. He didn't say where it had come out of so it's hard to take seriously.

Is Tommy Rowlands sniffing glue?

First time I ever heard DT scoff at anything when Tommy said Penn State would not pick up bonus points on Friday.

Cael stated tonight at the Coaches Show that Cutch is going Friday night. I'll go with his word.

Can't make sense of your post, so I'll explain mine. I was debunking what Mr. Askren said in the podcast.

I think Franklin was joking. To kinda-sorta defend Askren, I don't think he couched the remark about Cutch as if he was delivering news, just what he'd last heard, at least that's how I took it when I heard it. But then I don't approach any of the "two guys just talking" type of podcasts like Askren's as news sources. And for what it's worth, a week ago it didn't seem like Cutch was going to be able to go against tOSU.

Interesting fact about Tommy Rowlands...He was a 103lber as a Freshman in High School and won two NC's at OSU at Hwt. Tommy's victory over Steve Mocco in the B1G Championship at HWT was the first time that I had seen Mocco lose. I knew Mocco from his attendance at Renegades/Foxcatcher practices with Dave Schultz, when he was in middle school. Also, we shared a locker room with OSU at the Big Ten Champs in Illinois back in 2002, and Tommy was a pretty easy going and funny guy.

Looking forward to the match this weekend and catching up with some of my former teammates.

I'm no doctor, but thought the same thing. Attended the Coaches Show Wednesday, and the comments Coach made were much different than last week.
