Makes sense. But I'm thinking that the Nickal/Hall pairing is worse than the Hall/Joseph pairing for them. Unless they were cutting super hard and didn't have the strength/energy.
Also, I have it on great authority that nobody gets better when they go to wrestle at ASU.
Askren claims Hall was stalling in both Zahid and Bojo matches, but also admits to becoming a hater.
Hall did stall for about 30 seconds late in the 3rd and was dinged for it. But then with 10 seconds left he took the decisive shot and scored a TD. That more than invalidates the prior :30 to me. Not to mention that Jordan was the one who needed the TD to win, and all he seemed to want to do was lock up and drive forward without trying to create separation to shoot.
I love reading the sore comments and remarks, only makes winning that much sweeter.
I know it was freestyle, but Zahid beat Bo pretty easily at the junior world team trials last year. Zahid will not be an easy out for him.
Jordan was doing the old school Iowa move: drive the opponent out of bounds to get a stalling call.
He should've gotten the call, because Hall had his Poke on, not because he did enough to earn it.
And then, when it mattered most, Hall took the shot.
Won't be an easy out for Martin either, which is more important, because Bo is opening at 1, and as soon as Martin loses, Zahid is moving up to 2. This puts Martin behind the 8 ball, needing to get through Zahid to get to Bo in the finals.
Zahid moving to 84 is a game changer, but more so for Martin, than for Bo.
I understand that we need to believe that since Bo's head is down, it's not a takedown. That, according to T Rowe and Ben.
Of course, Ben, whether joking or serious, has also now admitted to becoming a PSU hater. Think he was kidding though. T Rowe? Borderline hater.

So, DURING the match, the viewpoint from the announcing team, was very different from the masses, AFTER the match.

This isn't even slightly subjective. As soon as that leg was in it was a TD.
Bo has control of Dean's outside leg with his upper extremities. Bo then puts a leg in. It's a takedown. As stated herein, what exactly does Dean have after this happens? Nothing. Bo has complete control.
