Nice find and this makes a lot of sense. I do wish TD were 10 episodes instead of eight because I feel the show takes a while to get going and then rushes to tie things ups. All of these characters could use a bit more exposition.

And last night's opening homage to Twin Peaks was spot on!

The segment with the movie director with the ponytail appears to be a possible Pizzolato slam at Cary Fukunaga.
I also read Fukunaga has pulled out of the remake of It due to studio meddling into wanting to commercialize it all the new Poltergeist.
