We initially stopped Cornell's run by getting the ball inside to Harrar. Sessoms 4 3pt shots were a much needed bonus but that's not his game.
Cornell almost scored when inbounding the ball and going the entire length of the floor uncontested. That was horrible and indicative of PSU's lazy and undisciplined play.
Cornell plays with more hustle and better fundamentals. PSU has bigger players.

Kind of putting the game in proper perspective, Cornell beat Lafayette by 5.
Just got home from game. They fought back twice to get a win. If they can get Lee back it would be a big help. This team will struggle in the big ten but future looks bright.
Lundy shot very well still sloppy with the ball though. Picket has a bit of a hitch or something on his shot from 3, had some good passes leading to open shots and hit his ft though. Team is a work in progress, Cornwall and dread are throwing up bricks right now but if they get it together team could give big ten teams trouble
Johnson is the 8th man in the rotation. He gets a couple minutes in the second part of the first half and maybe a similar spot in the second. I am surprised Dorsey does not get similar 2-3 stretches with lee out, but from what I've heard he thinks hes more of a 3 than a 4 but can not defend wings.
I don't think we know what the future looks like. The transfers are one and done. Harrar is a senior. It's down to Lundy, Sessoms, and new recruits.
Pickett is only a Jr, FYI, and a very solid recruiting class coming in. Just hope Lundy doesn't transfer out for a guaranteed NCAA appearance with a blue blood
Hes a spot up shooter, that's all. And right now hes firing up bricks. Wouldn't mind Johnson getting some of his minutes
Portal upgrades are possible. Scott and couple freshmen bigs next year along with sessoms and lundy and pickett and they will be ok
This is Pickett's 4th year playing. I guess he could take a Covid year.
Yeah, Pickett and Sessoms both still have their Covid year. Coach isn't going to deny them an extra year if they want to come back, IMO.

So at the very least we are better than Rutgers?
Ehh could be, but Rutgres is probably a NCAA bubble team, somewhere in 8-10th place in the BIG. Minnesota should be the bottom of the conference and then PSU is in with Nebraska, Northwestern and in my opinion, Wisconsin as those teams who can sneak up and beat a top team here and there but mostly they will only win games in conference amongst each other.I saw that some hours after I posted.
