Two questions about PSU's MBB team. Is Reaves elligible for a red shirt

I didn't realize that Reaves was injured to that degree. Also, Joe Hampton is a 2016/17 Freshman, correct? Did you mean Mike Watkins? He's enrolled and "with the team" so to speak, but not eligible by the NCAA this year.

I'm pretty sure at this point he can't redshirt. He played in about 15 games.

Reaves has mono and will be out indefinitely. Joe Hampton is a 2016 recruit. I was watching a game with Oak Hill the other night and only caught something about he and another player. One of them had an acl injury.

Thought I had heard 3 weeks for Reaves but with mono that seems like an underestimate so "indefinitely" is probably more accurate.

Sorry, didn't mean to be glib. It was reported that he had an acl injury several months ago. He must be well into the rehab at this point

Reeves does not qualify for a redshirt. He is out indefinitely with mono. Hampton tore his ACL over the summer and isn't playing basketball for Oak Hill this winter. We need Hampton to be effective as a true freshman next season so let's hope his recuperation goes well.
