It seems ludicrous on the surface as they are pretty much on an island far removed from anybody else in the big 12. Sucks for the typical athlete at UConn. I guess money talks. I don’t blame them in the era of Conference realignment, and they have punched above their weight for a long time in basketball.

I read 2031 for football...which is kinda hilarious. Like CFB in 2031 is going to look anything like it does today.

If we told our 2021 selves that 2024 would have a 12 team playoff, NIL, unlimited transfers, Texas/OU in the SEC, and the Pac-12 would be dead...I don't think we would have believed it.

It theoretically could help UConn football get better by 2031 with the promise of a big-time conference lifting them up...
