UM Jumpman logo.........

It's about Nike, not any team/school. I guess they feel it's not enough to have the swoosh, they have to specifically push the Jordan brand to keep it relevant this long after he retired.

Not really a big deal, but it looks out of place on football uniforms, IMO.

I seem to recall that MJ played basketball...at UNC. Very strange. How about a field hockey player on a FB jersey?

It is Gesicki jumping over McSorley but the image of McS has been cut and replaced by the nike jumpman (which UM wears on their jerseys).

Can you please post the pic directly for those who don't have facebook, or have it blocked by work?
I could get it for my Avatar, but my computer limited skills allowed my to use it as my Avatar. Leaping Gesecki over Jumpman.
Some Jumpman carry overs-
1. Arrogant
2. treat others poorly
3. Was Significant.
4. Not really the subject of conversation in 2017

I agree with OP. As a Carolina grad (grad school), I'm fine with UNC using the Jumpman branding for whatever sports they like (an imperfect analogy would be when the PSU hockey team put 409 on their helmets).

But for another school to use at all seems bizarre, and to use it for football is just awful.

If anything Michigan should hate all things Carolina based on the 1993 MBB championship game (Weber timeout game).

It's a cool logo. I like that they use it and I think it looks great on the uniform...until you give it 3 seconds of thought.

Once you hit 2.7 seconds, the indisputable oddity of the silhouette of a dunking basketball player on a football uniform really sticks and becomes hard to ignore...even though it looks cool.

They do it because "kids today" like the brand. It would be like a school being branded with Helly Hansen or Ralph Lauren just to try to get recruits.

I know why they do it. Kids LOVE it.

and the sales numbers aren't shabby...

What's Jordan supposed to be reaching for? At least the football player blocked his advance.
