I was the first on my block to buy a VCR just so I could tape SCTV.
When I was a kid we put a big antennae up on our roof with a rotor (before the days of cable).....we were able to get three channels from Canada....started watching SCTV with my dad....we loved it.

I was first able to watch on WOR NY, channel 9. It was an amalgamation of the first 3 seasons. Then in 1980, NBC began airing the 4th season in late night on a rotation of every other Saturday night at 1 am. Then in 1981 and 82 every Saturday night but still you would have to stay up until 1am. It was worth it because it was the best comedy show I believe in the history of sketch comedy television, better than Saturday night live.

I loved it back in the day. YouTube has several episodes, including the infamous Christmas party episode.

Johnny Larue, Edith Prickly, Sammy Maudlin, & Count Floyd. Very underrated show. Funny stuff.

Martin Short as Jerry Lewis in an Ingmar Bergman film was hilarious - especially the window gag at the end

My favorites: Dr. Tongue's 3D House of Pancakes and Dr. Tongue's 3D House of Stewardesses
Note how Joe broke into perfect Yinzer Accent when doing the diologue in Blood Sucking monkeys from West Mifflin pa. Also, the fine work of woody Tobias Jr as Bruno, Doctor tongue's assistant.

Al Pecks used cars, no song and dance here!
Watch the end I threw in a RARE Kurt Russell goof skit from the shooting of the movie used cars
