By years end there will be at least Ten major Universities under investigation / prosecution. Its finally time to weed out the predators.
Unfortunately, PSU and MSU won't be the last universities with these type of acts and allegations...

It's everywhere. Universities create an incubatory dynamic because of the constant supply of younger people.
The way to go about this is just like the military. You have mandatory sexual harassment/ assault training every year.... you even look like you're doing something wrong.... your gone. What has to happen is it has to be the same for the coaches. Loosing income stops a lot of bullshit.
They’d better start paying attention to the type of information the Paternos paid for instead of grandstanding asshats like Louie Freeh. No more lip service...stop playing CYA at all costs and start tuning in/taking seriously the wealth of knowledge available.

At least the military puts forth the effort to educate their people on the subject, every year. There's always going to be people that don't get it. But it's a lot more than colleges are doing.

Yeah, but that is a culture that is still evolving and still primarily dominated by men (hierarchically and philosophically). Same with law enforcement. They have their standard types of training, but are also breeding grounds for abuse (physical and emotional) because of the nature of the work (stress, deployments, etc.).

I agree, but some of the accusations will not be legitimate. MSU will get things started, just like Harvey Weinstein did. The downside of this is that I expect the Vanderbilt situation will be brought up again with regard to CJF. Hopefully, nothing will stick, but I fully expect him to be dragged through the mud again on this. There is too much jealousy with regard to how quickly Penn State has returned to being a national CFB power.
Pretty much any large institution would have stuff uncovered if there was scrutiny on them and someone bothered to do investigative reporting. We're talking about places that employ thousands of employees. That doesn't mean MSU or PSU or any university is a hotbed for bad behavior just that bad seeds can be found almost anywhere.

There’s a tremendous disincentive for institutions to come forward with cases like this in terms of negative publicity. The term “ unspeakable crimes “ gets tossed around, but it really describes what pedo’s want from kids. The window for reporting these crimes is very short. When institutions drag their feet about it they very soon end up becoming accomplices.
With MSU / USA Gymnastics, it appears that most of the wrongdoing is going to be exposed. With PSU, we had what amounted to a phony charity operation providing a victim pool that got political protection from a crooked state government.
