He had a criminal record. The motive still hasn't been established officially but I suspect it's because he was pissed. After all, he was fired from his job Saturday. Still don't know how he got the weapon but as we know from Charleston, Parkland and Sutherland Springs people who shouldn't get guns still pass the existing FBI background check, so why should we expect this one be any different.
