So the "weak link" in PSU's lineup next season just won u20s?

Loved the way you framed this!

Cole Mirasola Interview After Winning 2025 U20 Nationals at 125kg

I totally get the natural propensity to extrapolate from a wrestler's freestyle performance how he might perform in a folkstyle match. But as others have noted, you wrestle the guy in front of you and take the points you can get in a match within the context of the style of the event.

That's what Cole did. It was hugely impressive to me that he had only 7 seconds left to get another point and Mocco knew he'd be coming for the pushout but was powerless to stop Cole!

I see some similiarities to Mesenbrink

He's nowhere inventive enough to be Nolf, that's his teammate
agreed.

He's more of a much more diverse Desanto. He's going to tech a lot of guys out of sheer pace. He's good on top. But no one is comparing him to a Zain.

Pantaleo is another interesting option, he beat Duke 7-0 last time. Definitely an eye opening match that I think was important for PJ to have, he's extremely strong but someone can always be even stronger.

PJ Duke and Melvin Miller Battled It Out, With Duke Walking Away the Winner!

Check out the video at the :04 mark. It sure looks like PJ stepped out before he hit the four point throw. 4-0 PJ vs. 1-0 Miller is a huge change. Miller is a very athletic and dangerous young wrestler. I am super excited to see PJ in the blue and white.

Miller's corner should've definitely bricked that sequence

It seemed like Duke was a bit worried about Millers pick and didn’t want to walk into anything. It’s tricky though because Duke really needs to get his hands on his opponent to be super effective. The couple times he got to good control ties against Miller he scored easily. Next match I expect him to stalk a bit more and make miller wrestle more from in tight instead of open where he’s best

Definitely different styles Duke scores in a phonebooth and Miller in space. I see Duke keeping a hand on the mat and stalking as well. I have a feeling if they meet again the matches will look way different
