US open - Senior Nationals

His greco career has stalled out pretty good. He hasn't been close to making a team recently. Maybe he's seeing if freestyle treats him better. He's a cadet world champ.
I always thought the devotion to greco was a little premature. He's always had better freestyle results, though I've never been that high on him as a prospect.
yes, registration doesn't close until thursday evening. i'm under no delusion that erik hinckley will place at senior nationals. it's just fun to watch him pretend he belongs in the ring with these guys.
Is this the guy that pays to wrestle because its cheaper than paying for a seat? Classic.
Question for those who like to interpret the WTT Qualifications. Does a guy like Jordan Burroughs automatically qualify for the WTT at 79kg even though he qualified for the OTT at 74kg. Haven’t seen him register and i know there is still time to register for the US Open, but does he still need to qualify for the 79 weight class since he technically meets the qualifications (from a different weight)?
my interpretation is that you qualify for WTT in a style and not at a weight, so once you qualify you can go any weight after that. i have a vague memory of someone qualifying for OTT this year by winning pan ams at a non-olympic weight.

Hawks have a ton of guys entered. Plus Moody, so pretty much the entire RTC is there too
I think he absolutely wanted to wrestle trials but he probably didn't imagine he would need to go to Last Chance to get in. That was sandwiched between NCAAs and OTT so makes sense he didn't think 3 tournaments in 3 weekends was a good idea.
He definitely was confident he could place Top 5 at Senior Nationals in 2019 or win NCAAs. Then he ran into some guy named Lee, Nick Lee

Just watched Mark dismantle Reenan. His defensive skill is really other worldly, and he can score from any position in freestyle. Fun. 10-0

Pletcher doesn't match up well with Eirerman, length+funk. Loses 9-5
Imar does not seem to have his lungs. Skatzka is about to TF him (same guy Carter easily beat at the NLWC event).
Instead, IMar gets the fall while down 9-0.
Mark gets 2 nice 4s and a turn (and a lost challenge point) for the 11-0 TF over Battista. Lots more alien level defense. Gets the winner of Trent Hidlay and Drew Foster in the Finals.
Just teched Ty Walz too. Every time I see Cass beat someone good it just makes me appreciate Gable even more lol.

I could enjoy seeing his grown-assed man strength get face stomped a few more times before he stumbles out of his shoes.
