Disclaimer: Don't listen with any kind of headphones as I did my first go around with these highlights. During big moments in this match and there were many... the noise level was DEAFENING. Can't imagine a louder arena... anywhere. I think I blew one of my ear drums out. I guess it's better than having cauliflower ear. o_O

Crowd was electric as always in Bryce Jordan. During the Zain Retherford match... I would have liked to get a decibel reading. Was it near or close to jet engine noise level... at full throttle? Dear God... I thought the roof was going to come down.

BIG NOTE: Listen at the 9:44 mark. A reporter remarks that Tom Ryan, the head coach of Ohio State commented after the match that "hiring Cael was the best hire in Collegiate Sports History." Anyone else agree? The respect of your closet peer and last years NC coach speaks volumes. A coach that will be battling out with Penn State for the foreseeable future for National Championships. A coach who has coached a World Champion as a sophomore in college. The next best coach in collegiate wrestling currently is very impressed. Lofty accolades from a great coach himself.

REPORTERS QUESTION FOR CAEL about the intelligence and knowledge of Penn State fans: Cael's response: "That's one of the great things. Pennsylvania wrestling is huge at a youth, high school and collegiate wrestling level in Pennsylvania so the fans know what they're looking at. They LOVE good wrestling. (Paraphrasing: They love offensive, tactical chain wrestling.) I think our guys have done a good job of wrestling aggressively and they're fun to watch. (Paraphrasing: We have guys who will take it to their opponent and beat them down. )

And I was thinking about that as I was stuck in traffic heading over to the match. People are coming because of the way these guys are wrestling. (Paraphrasing: We have animals on our squad who dominate and take it to their opponents... relentlessly and then eventually break their opponent or ride them like miniature ponies.) We want to make PA proud.

Ummm... (Paraphrasing from a fan perspective. Cael has made.... PA fans, Penn State fans beyond proud. Euphoric, elated and if you listened to the thunderous roar in the BJC tonight and year after year, overjoyed. )

Tom Ryan... "Cael's hiring according to Tom Ryan... "Has been the biggest hire in Collegiate Sports History". Shows the level of respect for what Cael has done at Penn State. Huge respect from a world class coach himself.

Cael told Bo to watch what he said a out Martin's "run away" technique, but 'ya gotta love Cael, he got his point across with the subtle little jab at very end of video and I assume Press Conference.... He was answering question about Pennsylvania fans and the attacking Pennsylvania Style of taking the initiative, never letting up and "chain wrestling"....during the end of his answer he says, "you won't see our guys laying on their bellies doing nothing....or at least I hope not". A telling remark and handled in a perfect way in regards to "subtlety" especially after telling Bo early to tread lightly with his comments about Martin's efforts to "slow him down" in their NLO match earlier this year and then again during yesterday's match. You could tell Cael didn't want him to say anything negative and just wanted him to focus on his style....as in, here's how we wrestle, we go out and win matches, take what is rightfully ours. We don't slow down, we don't back into wins and we try to pin our opponent to the mat until the final whistle blows.....our objective is to pin our opponent every match, not "just win".

So he didn't say "Cael can recruit but he can't coach."
