Does anyone have any experience sitting in the ADA seats along the sideline? I am thinking of sitting there for a game with someone that would appreciate the easy access seats. They are first row seats along the sideline, but I am wondering if the views are obstructed during the game by people walking by or just simply not high enough off the field to see the game well. Any thoughts? Thank you.

My wife & I have season HC seats at the 44 yd line (EE section) on the east side behind the team. I have those seat because I can't seat on bleachers the entire game. I would have a difficult time walking, have spinal osteoarthritis from a fall which happened in 1990 and had several back operations. Enough history.

For the pre game, the view of the field is always blocked from the fan & parents trying to get the players attention, of course this occurs in the areas behind the player’s bench. Not a problem, for the most part during the game, the ushers keep the isles free of passersby’s.

During the game, the height of stairway platform to the field at the 50 yd line blocks the view from the 20 yd to the end zone on north side of the field. So when the action is in the north end I stand. Also, it’s difficult to see the plays develop. If I had a choice, I’d sit 20 rows higher, but I can’t afford the $2,000 per chair back seat fee. The HC seats are very comfortable with 5 feet of leg room, and if you like being close to the field activities, go for it. All of that said, Karen & I enjoy the seating. Usually, 5-7 seats are empty to the left of us, so the Athletic people fill those seats with different players’ parents for each game. Karen has gotten to know several player’s mothers.

Although my one grandson has student tickets, he & his brother are always eager for us to stay home and give them the seats for games. Last year, I missed the OSU game and the boys were thrilled to be in our seats. On the panorama of the OSU game I can pick them out. They told me they stood for most of the exciting game. the HC seating price is based on the section donation $600, $400,$200 & $100 plus added price for the chair-back.

any other question I can answer buzz me:D

Been there several times.

Obviously, it is nice that the seats are "real close"......so you do get that benefit.

If you are interested in being able to actually see the play on the field.....not so good, they are just too low to get perspective, and of course you have all the sideline personnel impeding the view on plays right on front of you.. Though I will echo the previous commenter in that the Ushers do a good job (generally) of preventing folks from standing/strolling around in front of those seats - so that is good.

IIRC, there are still some "handicapped" seats along the midway concourse in the corners of the end zones. Those provide a much better view of the game action (further from the field, of course). If I was primarily interested in seeing the game (as opposed to feeling of being "close") I would opt for those.

PiV could probably chime in as to whether or not those seats are still available for "handicapped".....or the folks at the ticket office.
