Hey! Nassib is now winning this vote, at 27%. But the ODU guy is a close second with 26%. Got to keep voting, boys, although I'm not exactly sure what the "Burlsworth Trophy" is. .
What I'd really like to see Nassib win is the Nagurski Trophy. Some really stiff competition for that award: Reggie Raglund (Bama), Shaq Lawson (Clemson), Jeremy Cash (Duke) and Tyler Matekevich (Temple). But Nassib leads the nation not only in sacks (15.5) but also in forced fumbles (6).

Sooooo, I read up a little on the site. Trophy is for the most outstanding player who started as a walk on. Originally 50 players, now in the 'semifinals' with 10 (?) players. Voting goes through Nov 22 (Sunday) at midnight CST when it will be cut down to the finals (3 players). However, voting is reset after each round to 0 and the 'greatest vote' only counts for 5% of the decision as 95% of the decision is with a selection committee.

Did Nassib get a lot of his growth in college? I just can't believe a guy with his physical abilities and his motor did not receive multiple scholarship offers coming out of high school.
Carl is running 1st, but the competition continues and you can vote every day so keep it going.
Time to get out the vote. Today (Sunday) is last day to vote (by midnight-1am tonight) and it's tied up at 32% with Carl actually losing by 60 votes now!

His deficit closed down to about 12 votes at around 12:05 AM from over 300 at 8:00ish, but then when I checked around 12:50 AM before I went to bed, the lead had grown back to around 80 votes.
