was thinking about best wins and worst losses

Spending 10 hours emptying the parking lots and leaving UP at 7 am after we were up against YUGE on Ohio State again in 2018 was swawe'some sauce.

The tie to Maryland in 1989 has to be up there on the worst loss list.
When was the ‘no catch’ catch Ohio State game, ‘03?

Michigan 95 and OSU 97 were some of the better wins from that era.

Though, Huff brings us back again and I remember time running out on us at around their 14 yard line. Score there and go for two was all I was thinking. My friend and I were so bummed, we set out on the road and hitchhiked home to Pittsburgh arriving there at 4:00 P.M. Sunday afternoon. Stupid kids, but we made it safely.
Great stuff. I remember hitchhiking. It was like a box of chocolates, you never knew what you were gonna get! I always hoped for dope smoking hippies that had very relaxed attitudes! ;)

Great post and I agree with so many of th games others have mentioned. I'll list these as they were impressive performances by Penn State against highly-ranked/blue blood opponents/some on the road.

48-14 The greatest defeat ever suffered by a #1-ranked team ever and that still is a record and it was at home for Pitt. How sweet it was to inflict it upon that deserving fan base.

1994 USC and 1994 Ohio State. In both those games, if I'm not mistaken, Penn State led 35-0. You just don't do that to blue blood teams such as USC and Ohio State. Their rosters were loaded with outstanding athletes as always and to put up 35 unanswered points in dominating fashion against each was truly remarkable.

1985 @ Alabama. Alabama was ranked #2 at the time and after Alabama jumped out to a lead, Penn State dominated the Crimson Tide the likes of which no one has seen in person in Tuscaloosa.

I know this was mentioned, but the Cotton Bowl victory over Texas. In what amounted to a virtual home game for the Longhorns, the Nittany Lions held the vaunted Wishbone offense without a touchdown which hadn't happened in some time. Texas was lucky Penn State didn't play them in 1969.
