that cnn reported that senators menendez, Durbin and leahy (all democrats) sent a letter before the 2018 election to the Ukraine’s prosecutor general expressing concern that Ukrainians were closing investigations into President Trump, that they believed were important to the mueller investigation. In the letter they implied that support for US assistance to Ukraine was at stake.
So it seems that democratic senators encouraged a foreign power to continue investigating a political opponent, a sitting president, in return for US assistance.
First, it’s surprising that CNN and the Washington post would report something like this, and second, will there be mirroring impeachment efforts against these senators?
