Watching PSU Wrestling is so enjoyable

Wow, watching PSU dispatch the #5, #8 team by more than 25 points is just so enjoyable.....because the team is as good as any NCAA team has been in the last 20 years....


As PSU fans we should not take this dominance for granted or fail to understand the significance of how good that this program is right now.

PSU went to Nebraska and Rutgers and destroyed them both on the road in front of the largest or second largest crowds in their programs history.

We will destroy Iowa next week by more than 20 points.....if we win by only 20 points Iowa, the second rated team will consider the match a win.

Honestly, it is an embarrassment of riches. I remember back in the Taylor / Ruth days thinking that I'd never see such a good team ever again.... And now this squad...... Perhaps the best of Cael's tenure. Admittedly, it is aided and abetted by the additional COVID year, but everyone has that same luxury.

I can’t say I’ve ever seen a match like Josh Barr’s on Friday night. He had 7 takedowns in the 3rd period. We are talking about the 16th ranked wrestler he did that to.

I think that the people reading The Wrestling board are acutely aware of PSU Wrestling and their success.

For several years WVB was also dominant, with this year's championship perhaps returning.

Not recently actually, WVB had been in a bit of a rut (by admittedly very high PSU standards that is), which is why them winning this year was so exciting. They seem to be back to the level they were almost every year under coach Rose, which is good enough to be in the Final 4.

Mesenbrink and Barr have exciting styles that bring a lot of action and scoring. Much better seeing action versus the commonplace stalling-fest.
