For those who are interested, Penn State's offense finished the regular season ranked 56th overall and was pretty balanced (51st passing, 62nd rushing). That would be good enough for 4th in the B1G behind OSU, UM and IU.
Penn State's defense, remarkably, finished the season ranked 20th in the nation. I find that to be absolutely amazing considering what I saw during the Kent State game as well as the numerous challenges Pry had to deal with throughout the season. The way he brought along these inexperienced kids (many playing a new position) was one of the cooler things I have witnessed as a Penn State fan. I've always marveled at what Wisky does along their OL and even with their overall program. This reminds me of that. In addition, and I'd love for @BWI PHIL GROSZ to comment on this, I don't know if there has ever been a more evident example of coaching kids up than what happened with our defense this year. Truly amazing.
Our pass defense was 30th and our rush defense was 41st
In total defense(20th), we were 4th in the B1G behind UM, OSU and Wisky. As an FYI, PITT was 99th and UTjr was 109th.
