What does a person's political affiliation tell you about the person?

More specifically, should any liberal be trusted?

The argument for trusting liberals is that they are in our families, our communities, and our workplace. We naturally want to trust, probably moreso when we are younger. Liberal views are often derived from pie in the sky utopian idealism. It is why so many people start out as liberals only to eventually become conservative as more years of practical experience expose the flaws of idealism. But idealistic views aren't in themselves bad, in fact many are noble. Liberals often "think" by feeling. Their emotions drive them rather than practical and analytical thought. Many emotions are good. Being that liberals are in our families, our communities, and workplace and that trust brings better results in those environments, we should trust everyone until such time that they give you a reason not to trust.

The argument against trusting liberals is that we have seen enough of a pattern in liberals actions to distrust based upon their liberal beliefs. Who riots? Who breaks laws? Who supports illegals? Who's activism is currently resembling terrorism? Who acts based upon emotion instead of rational thoughts? Liberals in this last administration have regularly applied the power of our own government against fellow Americans for simply not agreeing with them politically - IRS, intelligence gathering, etc. The game is up on the MSM and their deceit. Liberal followers are shutting down free speech at places in which open thought was once their mission, burning and looting their own neighborhoods if given a political excuse to do so, and rioting and assaulting others if they don't get their way.

I naturally want to trust everyone particularly those in my family, community, and workplace. But open support to the current liberal "resistance" is disturbingly making this more difficult. How much evidence is required to simply write off all liberals as liars and criminals at some scale. Their party seems to embrace this. The followers seem to embody this. Are all liberals liars or criminals at some scale? Is it better to simply distrust liberals knowing what they are currently supporting may reflect on their own beliefs and actions? Within my own extended family (which is quite large), a pattern of those who are least successful, trustworthy, and two who have actually been arrested are liberal. Within my workplace, the most wasteful and least productive are liberal. Is it time for me to simply call a spade a spade? I want to trust but the pattern of evidence against both at the macro and my micro level is strong.
