What had me so scared about the UM defense?

Was it the talking heads on TV? Was it our very own BWI touts and scouts, who would have told you that if someone gave up 7 sacks it sure as Hell would not be UM?

And the vaunted UM running game. I realized in the 2d quarter I could not even recognize their starter by his number.

What happened to the UM DL that was gonna slice, dice and sacrifice little Tracey Macmac? I still expect their entire DL to go to the same NFL team as a unit, and ruin entire franchises.

When the guard and SB pulled the LBs out of the play for about the 4th time, it finally hit me: the Xs and Os beat the Jimmys and Joes! Pretty sure I've been told for 50 years that it cannot happen.

I didn't doubt a win, but I don't think anyone expected us to make Michigan's D look like a JV team. No matter where you drew your fear, it's logical to expect struggles moving the ball against the best defense in the country at preventing teams from doing so. Especially when their supposed strength (d-linemen) is matched up against our biggest weakness (o-line).

I want to apologize to Trace for saying he looked slower this year and was not a running threat..... especially running sideways in the RPO. He looked plenty fast night and ran with great determination.. Oh, Coach Moorhead proved he is not rigid and there is a plan B which again just ripped up the countries "leading defense" apart. Hey, when did yards/game (Mich now #8) become a more important stat than.................points/game (PSU still #1)? Anyone count how many times Michigan's stat was mentioned during the game? For me it was ..........TMTC.

Don Brown fell into the same trap DCs have been trying for over a year. Take Saquon out of the game, but then let Trace and our receivers take over the game. Unfortunately for Michigan, they couldnt do either one.
