They were really good offensively in that ND game. They lost that game mostly because they were missing some key pieces on defense and ND completely shut down Etienne. DJ was really solid in that game -- 430 yards passing, 2 TDs.

This year, not so much -- in large part because they have a shocking absence of weapons or OL talent.

Big time programs better have talented QB depth. Period. And most do.

They have depth and its "obviously" better than ours but I'm not willing to go as far as say talented. If they are really talented they are portaling out. Its the new lay of the land.

I did not think Clifford was going to be able to play- as it turned out, I was right, just not in the way that I had expected.

Well, for you sake, I hope you bet the farm on last weeks game because I don't even think their fat-ass coach thought they could win the game.

not to the extent that they did- but no defense can play the entire game on the field and stay sound, so like I said, I expected a loss

I absolutely agree with the last part. They are more vested in coming back on a message board and pounding their chests to show how right they were.

Unfortunately true. It’s the reason you can’t have a decent discussion after a loss that doesn’t include fire Franklin in half the posts

I actually said 13-10 us which left wiggle room for something to happen the other way. I did t feel good about last week at all.

I never feel good about a game. I suppose I've seen too many games vs. the Toledos, Minnesotas and Temples of the world. Always expecting the unexpected. I don't feel good about a game until we are up 3 tds late in the 4th quarter.

I think it’s just easier for some to say fire the coach than accept a loss. It gives them someone to blame.
