For me:
Journey Brown. Will he bust one & can he pass protect? Receiving ability?

C.J. Holmes. What type of runner is he? Power, finesse or combo? Can he pass protect and receive?

Miranda vs Thorpe @ RG. Ability to pass protect. We know both can run block, especially Thorpe.

Elise Brooks. Ready to challenge or unseat Jan Johnson after excellent end of season?

Young DTs & DEs. Oweh, Issac, Barber, Culpepper and Hawkins. Stronger and ready to take on PT?

LB recruits (EEs) and Charlie Katshur. Can they be relied upon to provide the needed depth?

You pretty much covered it, Rick.

But one area that I really haven’t seen or heard much about is the kicking game. How is the competition with Pinegar going? How is my boy from Bourne, TX (Pollard) doing as a punter?

I only recall a single video clip of Pinegar kicking at the end of a practice ... he made it. But I haven’t heard James address either phase of the kicking game.

Good point on kicking...hopefully no news is good news!

Good addition. I'm not sure if they will have any punting during BW. They will probably line up some FGs.

QB and Rahne. Will our QBs look smooth? Will our plays look better designed and executed?

There was an article that tracked our team total passing stats in BW Games since Franklin took over. The better our stats were, the more successful season we produced. '16 was the peak.

How good is Sean Clifford?

How powerful is Noah Cain, we will need his power run game to complement JB and RS.

Is Justin Shorter more Julio Jones or Juwan Johnson?

Can Rasheed Walker nail down the LT spot?

Outside of 99, what DE is ready to take the lead, Oweh?

Does Lamont Wade still look completely lost and small?

I'd say play calling but too hard to tell in scrimmage if anything has changed/improved

Will Cam Brown grow up, be a leader, slow down and keep his head in the game? Same with CJ Thorpe

Does Jesse Luketa take the next step and put pressure on others, looks like a natural and a beast, show me more to get PT

Quarterbacks. Is Stevens out? If so, maybe we'll see a good bit of Will Levis (and, of course, Clifford).

Tommy will likely dress and not play, as he hasn't seen any "live" reps this Spring. Miranda and Shane Simmons are both dinged and not expected to play as well.

I'm rooting for Simmons to have a break out year starting with the BW game. I've always liked Shane and his family based on readings about them and seeing a few videos. Bottom line, I want him to do well this year.

Thanks. That’s, unfortunately, what I thought with Stevens.

Improvement in LB play. Have we learned to stop running around blocks and taking ourselves out of plays? Will there still be huge gaps off tackle? Last years LB play in the BW game was foreboding of the season to come.

I think that should be singular, as in a LBer last year..... he’s off to the NFL now.

Nah, there was plenty of poor play to go around. Some improvement by the remaining players at the end of the year. Needs to improve by leaps and bounds to back up some of this All-American talk.

Tommy Stevens and Sean Clifford.

That is, if Tommy gets in at all.

Really focusing in on the D, especially the young LBs (Smith, Dixon).

on Phil today, he said that Tommy has not even lined up in real play during spring - on 7 on 7 drills. they actually talked alot about his last year really put him at a disadvantage. missed last spring, much of pre-season and first few games of reg season and then the bowl game, and now this spring.

Clifford is going to be very good. Good size, poise, arm and showed some running ability. Might even be better overall than McSorley. But not well-served by receivers.

Looked much better - led by the play of Mr. Brandon Smith.
