Why the trick play while driving with momentum? Another coaching decision that leaves me saying WTF. How about bringing in the different qb on the next to last play? Then going back to his starter for the last play. Stunning trick play decision in my opinion.

Yep. Thought the same thing at the end of the game. Also, I hope neither the Army center or QB handle artillery shells the way they were dropping the ball in the 4th quarter. ;)

It made no sense to me either, but then I guess losing to Navy every year makes you crazy.

Who's to bytch? The Army team almost beat PSU despite turning the ball over 5+ times.

We did virtually nothing with their gifts.

My thought was I wondered if he went to the Rutgers school of executive management or just the recruiting academy. Maybe it was Nebraska?

Howzabout the decision to NOT send the kitchen sink / go for the punt-block with 20sec left in the game

I like the chances of blocking a punt vs. a 60yd return

Especially since the Navy punter fumbled with the ball a few seconds delaying the kick.

I thought we were gonna see another UMich - MSU finish.....but with Army's luck over the last 13 years, the ball would have been blocked out of the end zone for a safety OR recovered in the field of play, only to have another fumbled exchange end the game.

That was a tough game to digest. Even worst part is that despite the mess it actually looks like Army is improving. I'm not a lover of trick plays but, I liked the playcall on that trick play, I assumed it was going to be wide open.... Kudos to Navy for staying disciplined. The Army receiver should have been and you gotta assume was coached up to take off with the ball if the first option was covered.

Most every time you tell a kid that ("if it isn't there tuck and run") on that type of play and sometimes they do what they are told. lol

I didn't hate the trick play, but it wouldn't have been my first choice. Also, Army didn't go back to their 1st team QB for the final play, they went to a former QB (I think he might be a TE now, but not sure). They used him because, apparently, he's the only one with enough arm to get the ball to the end zone.
