it looks like I scored two tickets to the Army v Navy game on Saturday at Lincoln Financial field. I’ve been to a bunch of Phillies games, but just one Eagles game. Other than getting off of 95 onto Broad St., following traffic and the park here signs, are there any tips or hacks to make parking easier?

I am out of practice since moving to SC in 2015...but my preference was to park in the Wells Fargo Center lots (Lot D) that border I-95 - accessible from Broad Street (1st right off of I-95, I believe) - or off of 11th Street, as I was typically coming from Montgomery County off of the Schuylkill. Current residents may have better guidance.

Park in town and take the Broad Street line to the game. Have some drinks, lunch etc. and ride the subway. Always an easy way to roll.

Yeah, I am hoping to grab a pastrami sandwich for lunch at the Reading Terminal Market, so taking public transportation is something to consider. I’m not familiar with where to get on and off, however.

You can access the subway from RTMkt - Broad street line (Orange) and the Broad and Pattinson stop...which is now branded AT&T stop I believe.

From City Hall it's a $10 cab fee straight down Broad St. Don't let them go any other way. Take the subway back.

Herschel’s at the RTM for the best pastrami on the planet. Yeah, Dinics is great but a pastrami at Herschel’s sitting at the counter is spectacular.

They are right across from each other but you probably know that.

Philadelphia's main streets in center city are numbered when going north-south, and mostly names of trees when going east-west. The only exception on the major north-south streets is Broad Street, which was 14th street. The main east-west street is named Market Street.

The Reading Terminal Market is located at 51 North 12th Street. As you'll be driving, CLICK HERE for instructions for how to get there via car.

You basically have a choice: do you park around the Reading Terminal Market and then walk to the Broad Street Subway, or do you park on/near Broad Street, and then walk from there to the Market, and then back to Broad Street to take the subway. It's 6 of 1, a half a dozen of the other. There isn't a perfect answer. There will be a lot more activity/people on Broad Street at night, so that is a consideration if you're not all that comfortable in a big city.

It's only a few blocks from the Market to Broad Street, so there really isn't much of a difference. If you elect to park on/near Broad Street, you probably should set your GPS for Broad & Walnut Street, and then park at one of the parking garages around there. If you elect to park at the Market, just follow the directions in the above link.

The Broad Street Line is a subway that runs under Broad Street. That's what you would take to and from the game from Center City. The stops in Center City that you should focus on are City Hall and Walnut-Locust. If you park at the Market, you'll walk from there to City Hall (located at Broad & Market), and take the subway south from there. If you park around Walnut Street, you'll either walk from the Market to City Hall (see the previous sentence), or after the Market trip walk around downtown and then either get on the subway at City Hall or at the Walnut-Locust stop.

If you park at the Market, after you're done just walk toward City Hall (Broad & Market). To add a little more confusion, there's a huge underground area around City Hall where you can access multiple transportation lines. You'll see entrances (stairs going down from the street) at most of the corners between the Market and City Hall. You can take any of them, and follow signs for the Broad Street Line (often in Orange, as it's also called the Orange Line).

In the event you walk around town after the Market, you can get to the subway at City Hall, or at the Walnut-Locust stop. (For Walnut-Locust, you can enter at Broad and Walnut, or Broad and Locust. Just look for the steps going down at those intersections, and make sure to get on the platform heading South.)

Regardless of which station you use, you will take the subway south to the AT&T station (the last station headed South). That's located at Broad Street & Pattison Avenue. Once there, you would follow the crowd to Broad Street, and you'll be able to see the Linc (Lincoln Financial Field) from there. It's a two block walk from the subway stop.

After the game, you'd get on the subway at the AT&T Station, and take the subway to either the Walnut-Locust station, or the City Hall station, depending on where you parked, and then walk to where you parked.

I probably made this more complicated than needed, but it's all the info you should need.

If you decide to drive, park, and tailgate for the game, I’d recommend parking at FDR Park. They will likely charge for parking for the game but depending what time you get there you may get in before they start charging. We park and tailgate for Eagle games right by the clubhouse for the golf course, a few advantages: 1) access to actual bathrooms in the golf clubhouse and 2) it’s a longer walk but you’ll avoid some of the post game traffic trying to get out of the Linc/Wells Fargo lots|

Looks like you are going the park in center city route. If you decide to still drive to Linc, I always found using the Packer Ave exit off of 95 to be a lot easier to get into and out of the sports complex. Good luck. Have fun. Definitely should be on every sports fan bucket list - Army/Navy. Go Army!!

As an added benefit, if coming in via the Schuylkill Expy take the Kelly Drive Exit, which is right around the Route 1 (City Ave) interchanges. Follow Kelly Drive South through Fairmount Park to the Art Museum. It's a beautiful drive and usually has very little traffic. To get out of the city head back up Kelly Drive...it's a really nice drive and changes the whole outlook of the city for the day visitors.

Set your GPS for Kelly Drive and be alert. It's a left hand exit off the Expy and there are a couple of quick turns once you cross the Schuylkill River.

There are often festivals throughout the park so if time allows stop and partake.

Once you are parked head over to the Travis Manion Foundation tailgate. I’m having some trouble linking to the tailgate page on mobile but it’s in the K lot and starts at 11:30. Check out the organization and background on google; incredible story/family.

A lot of advice here. I live north of the city. I park at the Fern Rock transportation center (Northern-most stop on the Broad St. Line) and take it directly to the stadium. Easy in, easy out. Even if you can hit an express train, you can stop close o Reading Terminal Market.
