Southern Columbia Tigers at 64 games, after Caledonia High in MN recently had their 71 game win streak snapped. Southern is also 2 wins away from tying the all-time PA win streak of 66 games, held by Clairton. The rumor back in the day was that kids played for Southern who went to a local vo-tech school but that school's enrollment was NOT counted for Southern and that's why they were able to stay Class A. They certainly have maintained a high level of excellence for a long time and now it seems to be as simple as any family in the surrounding area that even thinks they might have a kid good at football moving into the district and having their kid attend Southern.

Looks like they'll be moving to Class AA if they accept any transfers.

"Should a school accumulate specific point totals in a two-year cycle and accept athletic transfers, the school would move up one class in that sport for the following cycle.

“It takes two years to collect the data for that competitive scale,” Marshall said. “They’ll start collecting data this year but it would have no impact on any schools until the 2020-21 school year.”"

They were a single A school until the PIAA went to a 6 tier classification, about 5 years ago and now they are AA as far as I know.
