Which position group gets your game ball? *

DL. Just tremendous improvement all across the D front. That set the table for the whole defense. Because the DL was dominating, the back 7 were able to use their speed and make plays all over the field.

Second place, OL. We are seeing PSU actually running -- planned runs -- between the tackles. Haven't been able to do that since 2012. Pass protection was improved as well. This group needs two more weeks of improvement like this to have any chance against Ohio State.

Pitt coaching staff.

Franklin should have a miniature game ball replica made and have it sent to the Dooze for his keychain.

Zech McPhearson made a huge play on the long run by Ollison

a 90+ yard TD run there could have been devestating

Thought Castro Fields and Omani really played well. Good coverage all night, tackled well most of the time on runs plays and good pick by Omani down on goal line. Reid may struggle to win his starting spot back.

Pitt's "special" teams. In the first half when our rush defense was struggling Pitt's special teams were doing everything in their power to make sure that Pitt would lose this game. Then in the second half we no longer needed their help.

Coaches. Huge improvement from game one to two.
Motivation. Second half adjustments. CJF

We didn't need their help, buy they gave it anyway.

Trace sometimes doesn’t get his due. As good as he is, he still seems to be underappreciated at times.
Remember, he had at least 5 drops by rcievers with that wet ball, but still had had a solid night.

Blake Gillikin, kept Pitt pinned down in it's own end for most of the game.
