At the risk of Mike once again accusing me of condescension, I have to say that I liked, and even appreciated, Donald Trump hosting an "Iftar" dinner at the White House dinner in honor of Ramadan. His (prepared) speech was conciliatory, and well received. The U.S. has a number of important allies and trading partners among Muslim countries, so it was a well considered move on his part, IMO.
(I will readily admit that I had to Google "Iftar" in order to discover that it is a meal eaten by Muslims after sunset during the month of Ramadan.)
