Barkley should get an invite. Even if only to merely suggest the Heisman folks are the slightest bit serious about giving the award to the best player in college football.

There is no set number invited... seems to be based upon the Pareto principle. I would hope that Barkley gets enough 2nd and 3rd place votes to warrant an invitation. I think only Mayfield and Love are guaranteed invites.

Mayfield has been quite the jerk at times. He did the suck it sign to the Kansas crowd yesterday among other things.Until Woodson won, the Heisman also used to consider an element of good sportsmanship. Hope Baker is not the recipient.
