125 - Kuhn beating a tourney qualifier. Oh wait, that's what should've happened if Buffalo bothered to show up.

133 - Keener beating a ranked opponent. Oops, another Buffalo starter didn't start.

141 - Lee manhandling another Buffalo backup.

149 - Zain. Ouch 2 bow and arrows in 1 match. That Buffalo guy had the best reason to not show up. But unlike the first 3 weights, I gotta give him credit for trying.

157 - Pipher. Dice and I called the fall. Well done other Bo.

165 - Joseph. Ouch

174 - Hall. Another overmatched opponent met his doom.

184 - Nickal. "Whatever Mark. You took almost a whole minute to get a pin? I scoff at you!"

197 - Shakren. Everyone knows what's going to happen. You just can't stop the rotisserie chicken powered cradles.

Heavy - Yet another Buffalo backup gets used and abused. (Well done Nick. Keeping the fans in their seats.)

If you look at buffalo Lantry and Gunning have sat out multiple duals. And Akins wrestled Sat at Lock Haven assuming he got dinged up.Stutzman isnt a coach who shys away from competetion they had Penn St,Iowa,Cornell and Missouri.

Yes, I'm probably giving Buffalo too hard a time. I mean no offense to the individual wrestlers or coaches involved. (A downer though that their 3 best guys didn't go.)

Cael told us prior to the match that Buffalo would be minus their 3 best guys, and that Coach Stutzman felt badly, even thinking of wrestling one of his injured guys...which doesn't sound like a good idea, depending on the injury. Even mentioned one of the guys "blowing out a knee" possibly. Seemed legit to me, with Cael knowing it more than an hour before the dual.

Speaking as a guy who also has an Italian last name, "Macchiavello" had an awesome day and an awesome name. Mike Evans was impressed.

Sounds Italian, but Michael himself has revealed on Flo that the origin of his last name is Peruvian.

I voted for both Bo's.

Btw, Pipher needs a nickname. How about Little Bo or Bo Jr.? I've seen Bo P.....but that seems a bit too much like Bo Peep.

Cassar gets my vote- dreams crushed for the year but chooses to take the ultimate high road and support his buddies and his coaches. Tip of the cap to his parents!

Abstain. Love the team and the result. But No one deserves special kudos for beating up scrubs.

I voted for Bo Pipher. Any time a back up comes in and gets a fall, especially as quickly as he did, I have to give it to that kid. The fact that a backup at PSU can steamroll a starter on another team is incredible.

I’ll go with Mark and Bo as it seemed they incorporated Nolf tributes after they won their matches...Mark with the “number 1” thrown up on the hand raise and Bo with the “Nolf hop” after the hand raise

Maybe more did this or I’m reading too much into things but that’s what I thought I saw.

Did anyone notice that Zain appeared to touch the Lion logo on the mat right before leaving the mat ? The folks in front of me blocked my sightline slightly and I think I saw the tail end of that ?

Absolutely saw it...something of a goodbye, I'll miss ya, from Zain.

Above is my smart @$$ answer, my real vote is all 38 (number from the online roster, if more then change my number, or if I counted wrong, high probability!) PSU wrestlers in our room!!!

I'm not sure that Hall was indicating #1. He could be pointing heavenward, as he has given credit/thanks to God in the past for his success.

For sure he did. Was bummed the B1G Network camera panned away just as he started this gesture--found it very poignant.
