Recruiting in the older days was pretty much a crap shoot as most people only knew who was recruited and committed after the fact. Often times, we only learned about potentially great players after we saw them in action on the field. Therefore, in the most recent modern era, those players with high hype that I can remember were:

I think they were all so-called 5 stars, so everyone thought they would all be great! Only Derrick Williams and Hack have come close to expectations. What are your thoughts?
