Beyer did commit to PSU yesterday. He's for real -- he beat Wyoming Seminary's Mike Rogers (NC State commit) at Disney this summer.

Red over Pletcher in 2nd 3:00 min OT. It was probably one of the most technical, scramble-crazy HS matches I've ever watched. I'm not overselling this, either.

WNO was a great event.

And you're just sharing this now?

Perhaps some more details during halftime of the football game?

Ever seen this before? Both gentlemen were just sick...great match fellas.

Just found out a little bit ago, and was too busy celebrating the Michigan collapse (brother in law went to Sparty).

Not real easy finding out stuff about Beyer -- Florida wrestling info not nearly as obvious as PA (go figure). He finished 36-2 last year, lost in the state finals in OT. As best as I can tell, all but 2 of his wins were by fall.

I also can't get Disney brackets, but article below says he went 12-1 and took silver this year at the all-star level -- and beat 4 ranked heavies, including Flo #8 Nick Coe. Last year went 14-1 and took gold at a lower level at Disney.

Flo ranks Beyer #17.

Word on NJ forum is that it was Gabe Beyer's first year of wrestling.

Looks like Beyer was on a few coaches' radar. He visited Sparky over the summer and took an official to Iowa a month ago

From the Tallahassee Democrat, on Oct. 1:

"Leon lineman Gabe Beyer has been making visits, but not in the same way others are. Beyer’s prolific wrestling had him visiting powerhouse Iowa in recent weeks. The first-team All-Big Bend football player and 2015 All-Big Bend Wrestler of the Year has also checked out Arizona State, among others."

That's all that's in the article concerning Beyer, but if you want to read it CLICK HERE.

Here's a nice write-up on his match in the FL State Championship finals (CLICK HERE).

Good lord, I've never seen this picture before. Thank you for sharing. Saving for future use.

Here's Beyer's win over Coe:

and his win over Rogers:

and his win over Pennsylvania Brawlers -- the wrestler is unnamed, I think it's Wyalusing's Dawson Otis:

EDIT: the PA Brawlers wrestler is Kostya Golobokov from The Hill School in Pottstown -- he's now Adam Coon's backup at Michigan.

Is he a Sr this year ????

...looks comfortable on his feet...uncomfortable on the mat...

...I'm sure he will pick up some good riding technique, which can be so important for a HWT. since few of them are very good at riding...

...McCoy and Halladay were very good...

...but thas jes my opinion...;)
