Who's Number One - Potential Matchups and a Request for Smalls

Willie - Could you possibly schedule WNO for Saturday evening, October 7? Both Lehigh and PSU are out of town and the Saturday night matches at The Snake Pit are a blast. Plus, we can spend Sunday watching Da Iggles anna Stillers.

To the PSU Faithful - If WNO lands on that date, I volunteer to organize an overnight Bus Trip from State College to Bethlehem. Odds are that we will see several wrestlers from our vaunted recruiting Class of 2018.

• No offense meant by not using your rankings,Smalls. FLO's rankings pages are still a bit wonky. Perhaps it's Chrome or user error.
• Obviously, some of the wrestlers will change weights, opt out, or simply be unavailable due to participation in fall sports, particularly football with the big guys.
• Willie - Since Seth Nevills plays foosball, could you please get Cohlton Schultz to wrestle Gable Steveson? Pretty pleeeeeeeeeease. I'll buy you all the Budweiser and wings your little heart desires at your choice of watering hole post-match. We may even start a GoFundMe to replace your life's savings.

If you are talking about Lehigh football being out of town, the game is played over the mountain in the next valley (and on the other side of Route 78) so I don't know how much of a logistical difference it makes.

But WNO is a great event. Last year's was run so smoothly and seamlessly it was definitely one of the top 5 events I attended during the season. Fantastic way to kick off the wrestling season.

Seth Nevills isn't playing football this year. Would like to get him vs Gable Steveson.

It was a Sunday last year and the logistics were beautiful. Parking was a snap! And that's not always the case at a campus that was built before cars existed. Plus there is a great Malaysian place walking distance from Grace Hall that is perfect for pregame.

I think every wrestling fan would love to see Seth vs. Gable. I don't think Seth is at Gable's level right now (I'm thinking about the way Gable handled Jordan Wood in 2015), but it will be fun.

Not that the matchups, even without that one, don't offer enough entertainment.
