He's young with a pretty good resume. Certainly appears ready to take charge of an athletic department. Lots of work to do at BC. But if he can get football and basketball on track, he'll be a hero. Probably needs to make coaching changes in both sports. But other sports are actually performing well and a major facilities upgrade plan is already in place, so pretty good time to take over.Anyone know anything about him?
BC and college sports have been second fiddle in Boston for a long time. But BC has been able to be successful in football and basketball, which can create a good level of interest. The biggest issue has been bad coaching hires and lousy scheduling in FB. The fact that the 4 pro teams have had unprecedented success at the same time, while BC struggled, has really affected attendance and interest. The right coaches can turn the tide. Jarmond needs to be aggressive and make the right hires. As a current Boston College MBA student who moved from western PA to the Boston suburbs, it's crazy how much college athletics plays second fiddle to pro teams around here. The bar will be lower at BC than at O$U. Hoping the football team can start making some noise.
Boston vs. Columbus....if you were making $1 million + which city would you prefer to live in?

I was in Barbados riding in a van when a chicken crossed the road in front of us. So I asked the kindly old gentleman driving for us - why did the chicken cross the road? He said that there was probably some food or something over there. To get to the other side?

I wonder if the chicken crossing the road joke is even a thing in Barbados. If not, I can imagine the conversation the driver had with his wife when he got home. "Today I gave a ride to this guy who I think was an American. A chicken crossed the road ahead of us. This guy asks why as if I can read the mind of a chicken. I didn't want to be rude so I told him there must have been food over there. What I really wanted to say was, 'How the hell should I know?' I'm sure you're right. They were so polite and friendly there, they would never say anything which would sound improper. It's a great island in the old British tradition.I wonder if the chicken crossing the road joke is even a thing in Barbados.
