Why men age quickly

The thing about which restaurant to go to is dead on. They want to go to certain ones but they don't want to actually have to say it to you. You're supposed to be able to just divine it. And not by remembering where you went last time. That one could fall into the "We went there last time so you know I like it so you should know I want to go there again" camp or the "We just went there last time so you should know that I don't want to go there again."

bingo!!!!!

I think it comes down to stress. I worried about things on a daily basis when I was married. The mortgage, health, kids, work etc etc. My ex-wife could care less, she had no worries in the world. Her motto was "stop worrying, in time everything will fall into place." Today she looks great and I look fatigued.

Maybe she looks great just because she's your ex! :D (I kid!)

The bigger problem is that the effects are long lasting. The only thing I knew about my ex was that she lived somewhere in Arizona. I had a flight change in Phoenix on a trip to Cali once; I skulked through the airport so she wouldn't see me, just in case she happened to be there. That was about 25 years after our divorce!

You can try the old; guess where I'm taking you to dinner trick? Whatever she guesses is the place you go.

Good idea. I've had some conversations similar to this....

Me: Let's go out for dinner tonight.
Her: Sounds great!!
Me: OK, what sounds good to you?
Her: Anything is fine.
Me: I've heard good things about the new Italian place. Let's give it a shot.
Her: I'm not really in the mood for Italian.
Me: Not a problem. There's our favorite Mexican restaurant. We always love that.
Her: No, I'd rather have something else.
Me: OK, what are you hungry for??
Her: Oh, it doesn't matter to me.

Or, how about just make the reservation and go where you want to go. WTF, guys?

Sounds like my gf with the difference being she keeps an actual list of new restaurants (must be 30-40) to try in her phone. Anytime I mention trying something off the list i get chastised for not having fun suggestions.
