Ahhhh... I remember that.. We called it Gorilla Ball.. 30 mins with maybe 2 points scored and it's very similar to a wrestling match with less rules on a hard wood floor.
We had one rule. No biting. This was because our heavyweight coach bit the 119 starter.

Because Josiah of Fanco Wrestling said Fix can beat RBY with a key that Fix needed to eliminate all social media distractions. As RBY wants Fix's best, RBY probably wants to eliminate a potential distraction. 😉

To be honestly I have no clue whatsoever what RBY or the other top names might get. Gable & UFC aside I suspect the pendulum will swing for a bit, then calm down to rather pedestrian levels
I question if the rumors of 6 figures being tossed about for highschool recruits when this first started were reliable.
I would be less surprised if RBY across multiple NIL sources was getting in the $10-20k/yr range, plus all the freebees he can eat, drink, and wear; while more like 'shocked' if he were anywhere near the $50k or above level.
No pizza place can fork out big money unless the owner is independently wealthy and a big wrestling fan. Even car dealerships can pass out a few 'free' leases costing then less than $500/mo.
I heard a rumor AJ's compensation is limited to free monthly vitamins.
Yeah, the six figure numbers thrown out there seem insane, but if true, the motivation for that would not be the marketplace. I agree though--$10-20k seems about right to my sensibility, but what the heck do I know?

I don't know about you, but with his talent and a gold medal, it must be a challenging transition to compete to a script. I suspect they want him to juice as well.
I thought he should have completed at world's this year and put off the other career for a while. A world championship would just drive his price up higher.
They haven't been allowed to juice ever since Vince came within a hair of going to jail on Federal charges back in the 90's. There are obviously ways of getting around it, but they piss test everyone on the roster.
I disagree that a world championship would increase his stock. He is the reigning Olympic gold medalist, nobody outside of the wrestling community cares about the world championships. Short of winning the Olympics again, he is more likely to hurt his stock by continuing to compete.
Kurt Angle was a freestyle world champ. Was that ever part of his promotion?
He will likely not wrestle internationally again until he is already established in the WWE because while his stock might go up a bit by winning it would also drop significantly by losing. And yes he is by no means a lock at winning internationally as he technically should not have won the gold medal match as you cannot take an opponent down and automatically release them, you are supposed to at least attempt a turn. The ref missed that part. Coming back to college to him is probably safe because he is by far a bigger favorite to win ncaa's than internationally.
